Shawnee Elementary School recently held an egg drop event to engage students in a creative science activity. Students were challenged to design and build containers that would protect a raw egg from breaking when dropped from a significant height.

Members of the local fire department attended the event to oversee safety and assist with the drop, using a fire truck ladder to provide the necessary height. The activity aimed to teach students about gravity, impact, and engineering in a fun and interactive way.

Faculty, students, and local emergency responders watched as each design was put to the test. Many eggs survived the fall, and students enjoyed seeing the results of their hard work and teamwork. The egg drop provided a valuable hands-on learning experience for everyone involved.
